The Bump and More

Here is a picture of what I look like these days. I really started showing over Thanksgiving - it must have been all that food. We are almost to 5 months! It has gone by so fast.
Richard got the nursery all ready this week so I will have to post pics of that soon. He is also really excited because he got to feel it kick this morning. Yeah!
We had another doctor's appointment this week. I am not really sure what I am seeing in a couple of the pictures, but we love the 3-D one! It's little face looks so cute. Richard thinks it has my nose. We were able to see all four chambers of it's heart and watch the blood pump through. He also showed us the brain and other major organs. He said everything looked great!

Third Appointment

November 5, 2008
During our third appointment we reminded our doctor that we did not want to find out if it is a boy or a girl. He asked if we were sure (very tempting) and told us to turn our heads while he took a look. He asked us again, "Do you want to find out?". Ahhhh! NO! He printed out a picture and made it pretty clear that he could tell us if we wanted to know. We came to the conclusion to have him put it in an envelope, write down what he saw and why he thinks it is one way or the other, and seal it. The envelope is now pinned to our bulletin board staring at us, tempting us everyday. I think we are both stubborn enough that it will stay there for the next five months.
The picture he printed off for us to keep is not so clear, but still pretty amazing to see! He said everything is still looking and sounding good so we are on the right track.

Second Appointment

October 8, 2008
Here are the pictures from our second appointment. Dr. Sterling surprised us and printed out a 3-D picture! It was pretty amazing to see our baby's face!! He said everything looks good. He tried to look to tell if it was a boy or a girl, but I stopped him since we have decided not to find out. We are really looking forward to hearing "It's a boy!" or "It's a girl!".

First Ultrasound

Here is our first ultrasound! It was taken on September 8th - we were almost 9 weeks. Usually the first pictures look like a lima bean so we were quite surprised to see such a clear outline of it's face and body! Even though 8 pregancy tests had told me I was pregant, I don't think I really believed it until I heard the "woosh woosh" of a heart beat and saw the tiny figure that I was now responsible for. That moment made it real for both of us.
