Oh Wow!

Today I had a baby shower at the church I grew up in. They were all so generous and I was completely overwhelmed. The car was stuffed full! Holly and Doug bought us the dresser/changing table yesterday and we are so excited to have it, but not quite sure where we want to put it so it is in the middle of the room. Needless to say, all of the stuff from the shower today is not neatly put away - or neatly anywhere. It was all in bags lining the walls, but we sat down to look at it and it quickly erupted and created the mess you see below.
We feel so lucky to have so many people that love and care for us (and this baby). We can't believe all of the wonderful things we have gotten and I can't wait to find a place for it all. It may take me the next 6 weeks to get this room clean, but it is so great to have it all!

Here is a picture of Emma...trying the learn the difference between her toys and the baby's things.

No New Baby Pictures

The appointment on Tuesday went well, but we did not get any new pictures. :( Our doctor wrote down the sex again and put it in another envelope. We are going to take them to the hospital to see if the first one was right. He can't remember what he wrote down the first time so he wanted to do it again. Here is a picture of the envelopes.

He measured the baby and it is in the 65% of it's weight for it's age...3 pounds 13 ounces. I can tell it is getting bigger - I have a foot in my ribcage several times a day.
I am starting to feel the extra weight and everything that comes with the end of pregnancy. I had heard that the third trimester is a lot like the first and I agree with that now. It is hard for different reasons, but still hard. Second trimester was so great - I want it back. I am starting to swell when I am on my feet for too long and my back was hurting so bad last night that I thought I could be having contractions. All of the books I have read said it is not too early to experience Braxton-Hicks contractions and I really think that is what they were. I am not for sure, but it felt more than just a sore back.
I have been talking about the nursery for a while now so I thought it was time to post pictures. Below are a few of what is done so far. As you can tell, nothing is on the walls, but it will get there. The middle picture is the pattern for our bedding. The colors aren't perfect, but you get the idea. There are still a few things we want to get so I will post more when it is complete.
