No News is Good News?
I went to the doctor this morning and everything is the same. My blood pressure is still a little high, so still no working, but it isn't alarming. Baby looks good - as always - so he said he would see me in a week. I am being patient and trying to enjoy my down time, but it is hard to just sit and wait. I am 38 weeks today so it can come anytime...we will see.

Mommy Update
At my appointment on Monday my doctor noticed that my blood pressure was high. He rechecked it at the end of the appointment and it did go down, but they wanted me to keep a close eye on it. I went to the school nurse everyday to have her check it and even though it was a little high, it wasn't alarming. On Thursday I was grading papers after my kids left and a teacher came in to talk. She looked at me and said I looked flush and I needed to go check my blood pressure. It was very high so I called my OB nurse and she told me to go directly to the hospital. I was not ready for that news! Richard met me there and we got checked in and hooked up to the machines. After laying down for 30 minutes it went down, which was great! The nurse talked with my doctor and then came in to deliver the news...I couldn't go back to work. They have put me on bed rest. Well, it is more like couch rest.
I went to school yesterday morning to finish up some things and tell my kids goodbye. I will not be going back after the baby comes so it was a little emotional for all of us. It was not the plan for me to have to leave to suddenly so everyone was really surprised. I will go back for a little bit today - they have been planning for weeks to throw me a baby shower and there is no way I can miss that!
My mom brought over my grandma's blood pressure cuff so I have been able to check it and keep a close eye on it. I am doing pretty well as long as I don't do too much - which is hard when all I want to do is get ready for baby.
I am trying really hard to enjoy this time...I know it is not going to ever happen again. Thanks, Doug, for the lap top! I can keep my feet up and pass the time. It has been very nice!
I go back to the doctor on Tuesday so I will keep everyone updated.
OH...baby is doing fine. The nurse at the hospital said everything sounded great and it is right where they like to see it. It is still moving a lot and it's heart rate was perfect!

Baby Room and A Wedding
Here are the latest pictures of the baby's room. We still don't have anything on the walls, but I just don't know what I want or where I want it. It will happen eventually, but for now it is fine.
I am on Spring Break this week so I am planning to take it easy and enjoy my last school break without a kiddo. I didn't do anything today and have just a few things on the list for the rest of the week. One of those things is a doctor appointment on Wednesday so we will get to see how big baby is and if we are still on schedule. I am feeling...good, I guess. I am swollen and aching (and probably complain a lot) but I think that goes with the territory so I say I am feeling good.

Baby went to it's first wedding over the weekend. My best friend, Sarah, got married and we were so honored to be invited to the small affair! It was a gorgeous day and everything was perfect! They are going to have a big reception this fall and it is strange to think that we will have a 6 month old at that time. WOW. Here are a couple of pictures from the wedding...Sarah looked beautiful! I look...well...36 weeks preggo.

Thank You!!
I didn't know if I would ever have the baby's room looking the way I wanted...especially after those last pictures. Thanks to my wonderful family - it is well on it's way to being perfect! My mom, dad, sister and nephews came over tonight and we had a pizza/organizing party. They were SO helpful and motivating. I would walk in the room and not even know where to start. They were able to get straight to work and get everything done in just a couple of hours - amazing. There are still the final touches to add and some organizing to do, but the mess from the last post does not exist anymore. Yeah! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
